Unplugged Games Cafe FAQ

Guests visiting Unplugged Games Cafe can access the game library with a Play Pass, good for their entire stay. The Play Pass cost is $6 Monday-Thursday and $8 Friday, Saturday and Sunday, per guest, added to your bill. Children 12 and under play for free with a paying adult. In some cases, group discounts may be available, so contact us to schedule your group event(s) today.
A board game cafe is just like other restaurants, but with a large selection of tabletop games! Board game cafes and bars serve food and drink, and also offer lots of games for customers to play during their visit, usually for a fee. In our case, your Play Pass fee gives you access to our library of more than 600 games!

Board game cafes are open and operating all around the world, but there isn't a board game cafe in the Richmond, Virginia area yet. We're going to change that!
The Play Pass fee allows us to purchase new games, and replace damaged games or missing components. The fee also allows us to train staff to help with games questions and support. The Play Pass fee is what makes it possible for us to maintain and offer Richmond's largest public game library to our customers.
You won't be charged for a Play Pass! You can dine with us just like you would at other restaurants. If you change your mind and decide to try the games, we can add the Play Pass to your bill.
We allow guests to bring their own games, but we still require Play Passes to play. So in most cases, it's best to check our game library for your favorite game(s) before you visit, because we probably have a copy that you can play. If you don't see your favorite game, please let us know. We're always adding games to our collection!

We do not allow outside food or drink, but we have a great selection to choose from. You can view our menu here.
